Meet our Small Animal Vet Clinic Team

We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated team at Cameron Veterinary Services. And now that we’ve just opened our brand-new small animal clinic in Springwood Place, Gawler East, we have found more veterinary care legends to join our team.

Read on to learn more about three of our small animal clinic team members – Dr Bec, Head Vet Nurse Leanne, and Vet Nurse Bek.

Meet Dr Bec

A proud South Australian, Dr Bec grew up in the picturesque town of Clare Valley. After completing her veterinary studies at the University of Queensland, she moved back to her home state to be closer to family. As a new graduate, she took on a position at a busy small animal clinic in the rural coastal area of Yorke Peninsula. It was here she spent three years developing her skills in small animal medicine, surgery, and preventative care.

From here, Dr Bec moved on to a more metropolitan area in Adelaide. She spent the next couple of years working at a high-paced small animal general practice and emergency clinic, and continued to advance her skills in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, and emergency care.

Dr Bec spends her spare time with her friends and young family, exploring wine regions, drawing, and painting. She lives with her partner, baby daughter, and fur-babies Harper (a Cocker Spaniel) and Bowie (a Ragdoll cat). So, life is pretty busy, but she wouldn’t have it any other way!

Dr Bec can’t wait to meet you and your beloved pets!

Meet Leanne

Leanne is our Head Veterinary Nurse and has worked in the Veterinary industry for over 25years. She has extensive experience working in both general small animal general practice and emergency care and has also spent some time teaching Vet Nurses through TAFE.

She loves the veterinary care industry and all the surprises that come with it from working within a team. She really enjoys getting to know her clients and being part of their pets’ family life – she believes it is a privilege!

Leanne has a busy personal life with 5 children, and lots of kids’ sports. She enjoys spending time with her family, hubby and Miniature Bull Terrier on the weekends, and getting away as often as possible, including Camping and 4WDing.

Leanne is really looking forward to getting to know both you and your pets!

Meet Bek

Vet nurse Bek has over 10 years’ experience in the industry, starting her career in a Vet Hospital. After gaining her Cert IV qualification she moved to a veterinary specialist centre in Adelaide, working in internal medicine. To further advance her nursing knowledge, Bek took on her third nursing job in a busy reproductive clinic.

Bek is very excited to work with Cameron Vets and be a part of the small animal clinic team. Bek has a keen interest in emergency nursing, surgery and loves interacting and helping clients with any of their pet-related questions.

At home, Bek her husband Josh, and two children Annalise and Zack, enjoy life on their hobby farm of 13 acres. Their menagerie of pets includes: two ponies – Flash and Puzzle, two dogs – Clifford and Dodge, two cats – Patch and Mango, and a sheep named Freckles.

Bek spends most her spare time training, hanging out with and riding her horses. The rest of her time is spent with Josh working on their little farm, and being with the kids – cooking together, watching movies, and playing video games.

As you can tell, Bek really loves animals, and she can’t wait to meet your cat or dog in the clinic soon!

Our small animal clinic

Being a smaller, family-owned vet clinic, we have strong focus on personalised service. Our team take the time to get to know your pet – and you as their owner. This is why we make all our standard consults 30 minutes long – twice as long as many other vet clinic appointments.

Leanne, Bek, Dr Bec and the rest of the team cannot wait to see you at our veterinary clinic in Gawler East. To book an appointment, call us on 08 8318 1801 or book online.
