The Cameron Veterinary Services is looking for a friendly, passionate Veterinarian to join our growing, close-knit, family-owned team. We are looking for an experienced vet that wants to work in a supportive, values-driven clinic where you’re encouraged to be yourself, grow your skills and genuinely enjoy coming to work.

About Us

The Cameron Veterinary Services has been proudly family owned and operated by Dr Lachlan Cameron since March 2020. What began as a mobile large-animal service has grown into two welcoming clinics delivering high-quality small-animal care to the Gawler East and Mount Pleasant communities.

Our values guide everything we do from how we care for our patients and clients, to how we support our team. We believe in flexibility, kindness, honesty and doing the right thing. Most importantly, we truly value our people and the contribution they make to our clinic and culture.

Our Clinics:

Gawler East: a purpose-built small animal clinic to service the growing population.
- Three consult rooms with dedicated cat and dog consult rooms.
- Separate surgical theatre & sterile prep area
- Dedicated dog & cat ward
- Imaging room & offices

Mount Pleasant: small community-based clinic servicing the town of Mount Pleasant with our unique blend of personalised veterinary care with strong patient and client focus.
- Consultation only
- Room to grow and expand into a small country clinic with surgical facilities.

Separate prep, surgery & treatment areas
iM3 dental equipment (we love dentistry!)

Is This You?

We’re looking for someone who is:

Confident – with excellent client communication skills
Experienced – ideally 2+ years out (5+ preferred), though confidence and independence matter most
Team-oriented – excited to be part of a growing, values-driven clinic with future leadership opportunities
Flexible – because the traditional 5-day workweek isn’t for everyone
Passionate – about great medicine, positive workplace culture and shaping the clinic you want to work in

Hours of Work

The clinic is open six days per week, and we’ll work with you to create a roster that suits you and the business.

Permanent Part-Time 2–3 days per week + 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
No after-hours.
We welcome part-timers, return-to-work parents and anyone seeking a healthier work–life balance.

Salary & Benefits

Experienced vet: $100k–$130k FTE (depending on experience)
New graduate: $65k–$75k FTE
Above-award pay rates
4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) + 1 week CPD with allowance.
